Born 1985 in Salzburg/Austria, started his musical studies in 1999 at the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversitaet with Peter Rohrsdorfer (classical saxophone). He studied with Harry Sokal and Allan Praskin at the Jazzdepartment of the Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität.

Throughout the last years Fabian Rucker became an internationally performing artist and played concerts in Europe, China and the USA with a big variety in genres and concepts. His goal is to wander through different genres and forms without any fear of contact. From Jazz to Contemporary Music, to (free) Improvised Music, performative concepts, Hip Hop and Pop.

In 2003 he founded the “electronic-avantgarde-jazz” trio [midshi] together with Andreas Lettner (drums) and Stephan Kondert (bass). In fall 2005 they released their album “WEGE”. In 2009 a new band was born:

“Namby-Pamby Boy”. Together with Phil Nykrin (rhodes) and Andi Lettner (drums) they are the first indieband with a licence to breed well. In 2011 they released their first album “Lunchbreak“. In 2008 Fabian Rucker won the NY Scholarship of the Hans-Koller-Award. He visited Masterclasses and had lessons with: Dave Liebman, Phil Woods, Bob Mintzer.
